Policy statement

Connig Technoserve Limited recognises and accepts its responsibility to provide a safe and healthy working environment for employees, contractors, customers and visitors who use its premises. This supports the prevention of injury and ill health while delivering the sale and installation of telecommunications equipment and sites, and end-to-end telecommunications services.

To promote a positive health and safety culture, Connig provides the information, training, instruction and supervision needed for compliance. The company operates a low-blame culture, encouraging employees to report hazards and near misses without fear of reprisal so root causes can be identified and recurrence prevented.

Our commitments

  • Carry out ongoing risk assessments with employee participation, identify hazards and set prioritised objectives for risk elimination and reduction.
  • Provide sufficient information, instruction, training and supervision to help employees avoid hazards and contribute positively to health and safety at work.
  • Uphold each employee's right to refuse unsafe work when health and safety is at risk or endangered.
  • Ensure access to competent health and safety advice.
  • Provide equipment and systems of work that are safe and without risks to health.
  • Ensure safe arrangements for the use, handling, storage and transport of articles and equipment.
  • Comply with relevant safety legislation, regulations, codes of practice and other requirements associated with Nigerian operations.
  • Plan, organise, control, monitor and review preventative and protective measures, including climate-change mitigation measures.
  • Continually improve the effectiveness of the occupational health and safety management system and measure performance through the annual management report.

This policy is communicated to staff, contractors and suppliers and is made available in strategic areas throughout the organisation.
